Simultaneous Interpretation
Simultaneous interpretation
Simultaneous interpretation is used at meetings to enable delivering of speeches or presentations in more than one language without any interruption.
How it works
Interpreters interpret a speech in real time and in as many languages as required. Participants listen to what is said and as it is said in their own language, via headphones.
When and where to use
Simultaneous interpreting is the most inobtrusive mode of interpretation as it does not interrupt the natural flow of the speaker. Therefore it is widely used at:
- Large events with several languages
- Bilateral meetings when there is no time for consecutive interpretation
- Technical or medical workshops
- Corporate events or shareholders’ meetings
Why choose Lingua in Focus
It requires highly skilled expert interpreters and a thorough preparation on their part for the simultaneous interpretation to be delivered with precision and clarity.
